This year was Generously Giving Backs 4th Annual Golf Tournament which I was lucky enough to be apart of as a Volunteer. I’ve been an attendee of GGB's events for about three years now. However, this was one of the first times that I had been involved behind the scenes. I see the hard work that goes into such events as well as the amazing results that come from hard-working people at GGB as well as the contributions from the community.
Generously Giving Back is such a beautiful community of people who welcome all with open arms. New to being apart of an event such as the golf tournament, they showed me the ropes and always make sure to take care of both members of the GGB family and those who were golfing on that sunny Sunday. Looking out over the greenery and seeing so many smiling faces, it was an amazing experience.

All of those in attendance came prepared and ready for a day of golf with a good cause behind it. Events like this are a good reminder for me to stay involved and active in my community.
Happy swinging clubs and golf cart races were both crucial parts of the amazing day! The day got a little chilly as the day began however, no one let that put a damper on the day. Bundled up and ready for some friendly competition, the golfers stuck it out till the weather got warmer.
I personally have never been on a golf course before but the regulars gave me good pointers on what to look for when watching the game, as well as the common practices of both driving on the golf course, and how to support the other volunteers.
I learned so much about the people who make GGB what it is, and I observed how hard everyone works to make such an event enjoyable and meaningful. I also learned more about why those who volunteer and support GGB do what they do. I received many meaningful answers to these questions, but I found one common answer: all of those at the golf tournament has a passion for helping others.

When you participate in any type of charity event with GGB you feel like part of the family. Even if you are new to GGB you feel welcomed and included in such a beautiful thing of helping others. The events are always fun and geared towards people of all ages. The name Generously Giving Back represents the values and focus of the charity - GGB helps everyone, locally and internationally. GGB uses fun and community orientated events to help others, events such as these truly embody the sense of joy and accomplishment.
