From Crawling to Courage: Mobility for Hẹ

Hẹ, a 66-year-old widow from Vĩnh Xuyên Hamlet in Châu Đốc City, lost one leg and suffered paralysis in the other due to bomb injuries during the 1975 war. With no family support and limited means, she has survived by crawling from house to house, relying on the kindness of neighbors for food and assistance. Her heartfelt wish was to receive a mobile chair so she could begin selling lottery tickets and regain a sense of independence.

In April 2017, GGB Ambassador Tran Thi Chi Lan visited Ms. Hẹ’s home to deliver a mobile chair, transforming her daily life and restoring her dignity.
