Project Details:
Tỉnh Quảng Ngãi, located along Vietnam’s South Central Coast, is a province of natural beauty and cultural depth—but many residents, especially in rural and mountainous areas, face difficult living conditions. While the region benefits from fertile land and coastal resources, it is highly vulnerable to typhoons, flooding, and seasonal extremes. Infrastructure in remote villages remains limited, making access to healthcare, clean water, and education a daily challenge for many families.
Despite the presence of industrial development in areas like the Dung Quat Economic Zone, much of Quảng Ngãi’s population relies on subsistence farming, fishing, or informal labor. Poverty rates remain significant, and household incomes often fall short of covering basic living expenses. Ethnic minority communities such as the Hrê, Co, and Xơ Đăng maintain strong cultural traditions, but face barriers in literacy, digital access, and economic opportunity. Resilience and community spirit are strong, yet the need for sustained support and inclusive development remains urgent.
A heartfelt thank you to Chi Lan Tran, GGB’s dedicated goodwill ambassador in Vietnam, for her tireless efforts in delivering essential food hampers to 240 families in need across Tỉnh Quảng Ngãi. Each hamper included staples such as instant noodles, rice, cooking oil, and soy sauce—basic items that bring relief and nourishment to households facing economic hardship.
Reaching these communities is no small feat. Quảng Ngãi’s terrain is a mix of coastal lowlands and rugged mountains, with many villages accessible only by narrow, winding roads that become treacherous during heavy rains. Despite these challenges, Chi Lan navigated long and difficult routes to ensure every family received their support with dignity and care.
Her compassion and perseverance reflect the heart of GGB’s mission—and we are deeply grateful for her role in bringing hope and sustenance to some of Vietnam’s most vulnerable communities.
