Mountain Relief – Supporting Rural Families in Nepal

In March, GGB launched an initiative to support families living in remote mountain villages across Nepal. These communities face extreme hardship, with limited access to food, furniture, and basic necessities. Many households lack proper bedding, and children sleep on bare floors without warmth or comfort.

GGB committed $1,500 CAD to provide essential supplies including rice, lentils, vegetables, blankets, beds, and cots. The project was coordinated and delivered by GGB Goodwill Ambassador Kasim Kasim, who had previously visited these villages alongside Susan and Liem in April 2018 and witnessed firsthand the daily struggles of the residents.

This initiative was unanimously approved by the GGB Board and reflects the organization’s mission to uplift underserved communities with dignity and care. Every blanket, every meal, and every bed delivered is a step toward restoring comfort and hope for families who have long been overlooked.
