Feeding Program in Angono
Year:
2023
Location:
Angono, Rizal, Philippines
Beneficiary:
Children in Angono, Rizal
Project Details:
In the vibrant town of Angono, Rizal—known for its rich artistic heritage—many children face daily challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. For families living in poverty or unstable conditions, putting nutritious food on the table is not always guaranteed. This is where feeding programs become a lifeline.
The beneficiaries are often:
- Preschoolers and daycare students from low-income families
- Children from informal settlements or underserved barangays
- Kids from single-parent households or families with unstable employment
- Malnourished children identified by local health workers
These children may arrive at school hungry, making it difficult to concentrate, learn, or play. Feeding programs offer more than just meals—they restore energy, dignity, and the ability to thrive.
For many children in Angono, these meals may be the most nutritious food they receive all day. Feeding programs:
- Combat malnutrition and stunting
- Improve school attendance and performance
- Foster community trust and engagement
- Support working parents who struggle to provide balanced meals
Our goodwill ambassadors - Carlos, Minda, Susan, and Liem — led an initiative to support the feeding program in Angono, Rizal. Their efforts provided essential food and supplies for the children.
The team purchased and delivered:
- Nutritious meals including pasta, fried chicken, rice, hotdogs and beverages
- Cutlery, plates, cups, and napkins
This outreach not only filled stomachs, it fostered joy, connection, and a sense of care within the community.
