Project Details:
On July 22, 2025, Tropical Storm Wipha made landfall in northern Vietnam, striking the provinces of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa with wind speeds reaching up to 74 kph (46 mph)—down from approximately 100 kph during its approach. Although the storm weakened upon landfall, authorities remained on high alert due to the risk of heavy rainfall, flooding, and mudslides.
As a result of the storm’s impact, our local GGB ambassador was called upon to assist with flood relief efforts in Nghệ An Province, providing emergency food hampers to affected communities.
From July 29th to August 1, GGB delivered 365 hampers to Mỹ Lý Commune in Kỳ Sơn District, and Tam Thái Commune in Tương Dương District, within Nghệ An Province.
Thank you to our local Ambassador Mrs. Chi Lan Tran for organizing and personally delivering these hampers. In addition, we also thank our local GGB supporters who has helped with at cost products, donated blankets, donated water bottles, and your time to transport and assist.
