Food Hamper Distribution with Goodwill Ambassador Kasim

In the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal—a city rich in culture yet marked by deep economic disparities—we recently carried out a vital food hamper distribution to support families facing food insecurity. While Kathmandu is home to vibrant markets, sacred temples, and resilient communities, many residents—especially daily wage earners, elderly individuals without family support, and displaced families from rural regions—struggle to meet basic nutritional needs. The rising cost of staples like rice and lentils, compounded by limited access to stable employment, has left many households vulnerable.

Thanks to the unwavering compassion of our Goodwill Ambassador Kasim (Padmanadi), this outreach became a reality. Kasim generously traveled to Nepal at his own expense, covering his flight and accommodations, to personally assist with the preparation and distribution of essential food hampers. Each package included rice, lentils, and other daily necessities—simple items that bring immense relief to families living on the margins.

We are deeply grateful for Kasim’s time, heart, and hands-on support. His presence brought not only nourishment but also dignity and encouragement to those we serve. His actions remind us that solidarity knows no borders—and that when we show up for one another, we plant seeds of hope that ripple far beyond a single meal.
