Project Details:
The DOCS Foundation Nepal (Destitute and Orphan Children Safeguarding Foundation) is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, dedicated to supporting children who are orphaned, abandoned, or living in extreme poverty. Since its founding in 2002, the foundation has provided safe housing, education, healthcare, and emotional support to children from remote and underserved regions of Nepal. Many of these children have faced neglect, abuse, or exploitation, and DOCS works to rehabilitate and reintegrate them into society or family settings.
Last week GGB Goodwill Ambassador, Kasim, personally delivered food hampers to the children at DOCS. The visit was filled with joy, warmth, and celebration, as children gathered around stacks of rice, lentils, and essential supplies—each bag a symbol of care and solidarity.
Inside the orphanage’s modest hall, children dressed in colorful winter clothing sat atop the donated goods, their smiles framed by a backdrop of trophies and certificates that spoke to their resilience and achievements. A handwritten sign on the wall read, “Happy New Year – Party with love – Dear Kasim & Family,” capturing the spirit of generosity that powered this initiative. The hampers included staples like rice, lentils, and instant noodles, helping ensure that every child at DOCS enters the new year with nourishment, dignity, and the knowledge that they are not forgotten.
