Seniors in House of Somang

The House of Somang in Parañaque City, Philippines is a charitable, non-government residential facility that provides a safe and nurturing home for elderly individuals—many of whom have been abandoned or have no surviving family to care for them. In this compassionate environment, their dignity, safety, and emotional well-being are placed at the heart of daily life.

Most residents are seniors who have faced hardship and isolation, but now live with access to gentle care, companionship, and a renewed sense of belonging. Staff and volunteers are known for their warm, family-like approach, ensuring each person feels respected and valued. Daily activities include arts and crafts, light exercise, and group gatherings that foster both physical wellness and social connection.

Volunteers from Cathedral of the King joined us in visiting the House of Somang to deliver much-needed supplies, including groceries, adult briefs, and petroleium jelly to celebrate with all the seniors on Mother's Day.
