Project Details:
The DOCS Foundation Nepal (Destitute and Orphan Children Safeguarding Foundation) is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, dedicated to supporting children who are orphaned, abandoned, or living in extreme poverty. Since its founding in 2002, the foundation has provided safe housing, education, healthcare, and emotional support to children from remote and underserved regions of Nepal. Many of these children have faced neglect, abuse, or exploitation, and DOCS works to rehabilitate and reintegrate them into society or family settings.
Operating without government funding, DOCS relies entirely on the generosity of local and international donors to meet its daily needs.
Recognizing the urgent requirement for food staples, GGB committed $1,000 CAD to supply rice, lentils, and fresh vegetables—essential items that form the backbone of daily meals for the children. The funds were delivered directly by GGB Goodwill Ambassador Kasim Kasim, with local coordination by Chodak, ensuring transparency and cultural sensitivity throughout the process.
