Winter Relief for the Edmonton Food Bank

In December 2020, as communities across Canada faced the harsh realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, GGB responded to an urgent surge in demand at the local food bank. The need was visibly overwhelming—vehicles lined up for nearly a block, each one representing a family waiting for their turn to collect essential groceries.

This past weekend, GGB was able to donate two full shopping carts of food—equivalent to 234 kilograms, marking a 50% increase compared to our contributions in previous years. The donation included staples such as rice, pasta, canned goods, and cooking essentials, aimed at helping families through the winter season.

This effort was made possible thanks to the unwavering generosity of our supporters, donors, and volunteers. In a time of uncertainty and isolation, your kindness has helped bring warmth and nourishment to those who need it most.
